In three major sections, Paul Brown examines first what the Bible says about marriage, considering a number of important passages from both the Old Testament and the New Testament. He then addresses a number of practical questions relating to marriage in the light of this biblical background. The final section considers marriage itself more closely; its blessings and its difficulties, its opportunities and its dangers, its challenges and what Christian responses should be.

Paul Brown is a retired pastor now living in the north-west of England. He is married with three children and seven grandchildren. He has written several books.
