William Frizelle - General Manager, Belfast & Edinburgh
Having been born and raised in Donaghadee, Northern Ireland, William moved to Edinburgh in 2016 to study at Edinburgh Theological Seminary (formerly the Free Church of Scotland College). William joined the team in our Edinburgh shop in April 2020 as our first permanent Manager. In February 2025 he returned to Northern Ireland and to Belfast to take up the position as General Manager of both shops.
William can be found in our Belfast shop on most weekdays (except when he is away running at bookstall at various conferences through the year).
William and his family currently attend Donaghadee Baptist Church, but he often preaches away at various Evangelical Churches across Northern Ireland (and occasionally Scotland and Northern England as well).
Shaun McFall - Sales Assistant, Belfast
Shaun has been working with us for several years and always makes sure that no customer leaves the shop without either a book or a good conversation. You can usually find Shaun in our shop most week days.
He attends Ballyclare Evangelical Presbyterian Church, where he serves as a Deacon and is heavily involved in Children's ministry.
Alan Hamilton - Sales Volunteer, Belfast
Alan was our longest serving employee, but we're thankful that since he retired in February 2025 he has continued to volunteer with us in the shop. Alan can be found in the shop on Saturdays and also mid-week during holiday cover.
He attends Crosscollyer Street Evangelical Presbyterian Church, Belfast.
Alan Baird - Sales Volunteer, Belfast
Alan has been involved with the shop as a volunteer for several years, can can usually be found in the shop on Mondays. Alan also runs an international students Bible study group every Thursday evening upstairs in the shop.
He attends Stranmillis Evangelical Presbyterian Church, Belfast.
Ben Hegan - Sales & Conference Volunteer, Belfast
Ben has been involved with the conference and events side of our shop for several years.
He attends Crumlin Evangelical Presbyterian Church, where he serves as a Deacon.
David Mayes - Sales Manager, Edinburgh
Originally from Northern Ireland, David has been helping customers as a sales assistant since January 2020. In February 2025 he took over from William as Sales Manager, and can be found in the shop from Monday to Friday. As a part-time baker what David doesn't know about bread is not worth Knowing.
David attends Buccleuch Free Church, Edinburgh, where he serves as a Deacon and is involved in student outreach.
Matthew Dewar - Sales Assistant, Edinburgh
Matthew is our newest member of staff having joined our Edinburgh team in April 2025. Originally from Fife and currently studying at the University of Edinburgh, Matthew can usually be found in our shop on Saturdays.
Matthew attends Charlotte Chapel, Edinburgh.
